I am Raakesh Blokhra — a creator, explorer, and perpetual student of life. Born with a restless curiosity that has taken me across continents, disciplines, and inner landscapes. I have built companies, composed music, written books, led expeditions into the wild, and sat in silence long enough to hear something real.
I currently work part-time with Rutgers University, contributing to technology initiatives that support programs under the Department of Children and Families.
The work is practical, grounded, and people-focused. That is something I value deeply alongside my creative and contemplative pursuits.
This website is not a resume. It is a living document, an attempt to hold together the many threads of a life that refuses to be singular.
I’ve never been just one thing.
Music was always there — quietly, persistently — even when life pulled me in other directions. I followed paths that made sense on paper, built a career, learned how systems work, and how people fit into them. But somewhere along the way, I realized that what I was really searching for wasn’t success — it was meaning.
That search led me back to what I had always felt but never fully pursued. Music. Writing. Nature. Stillness. The space where creativity doesn’t feel like effort, but like something flowing through you.
Today, I create across many forms — songs, stories, images — not to define myself, but to understand life a little more clearly. Projects like *The Wild Agreement* and *Martian Soil* are not just ideas; they are reflections of questions I’ve lived with for years.
I’m not building a brand. I’m building a life that feels true — and sharing it as I go.
Born into a world of questions. Early years shaped by music, books, and a deep sense that there was more to life than the obvious. Born in India, lived in Cleveland, Ohio.
University years, first musical experiments, early writing, professional motorcycle racing, got introduced to meditation, and the building of a professional foundation.
Ventures launched, started my first company, countries crossed, got attuned to Reiki, the first songs written. Learning what it means to make something and put it out.
A decade of deepening — worked on a NASA project, healing work, meditation practice, the camera as a tool for presence, Inner Engineering, and Vipassana.
All the threads converging. worked at Google, explored RaagVeda, the creative work becoming more honest, started my band - Raakstar Revolution, the life more aligned. Still going.
A project born from years of inner inquiry — a framework for living with full presence and radical honesty.
