Great News!!!

The Affiliate Link Rotation Script is available for download.

VISIT http://www.raakesh.com/affiliate_rotation.php TO DOWNLOAD THE SCRIPT

This script manages your landing pages, and in other words you can say, it distributes the traffic that you get, to various affiliate offers letting you promote more than one offer from the same landing page page. Here is how it works:

1. You define a list of Affiliate URLs to send traffic to.
2. When users come to your site, this script alternates each link and opens the URL in a full iframe.
So say if you have 3 different offers, the first user to your site will see the 1st Offer, the 2nd user sees the 2nd offer and the 3rd user sees the 3rd offer, and since you only defined 3 URLs, the 4th user will see the 1st Offer again.

Since this script opens the affiliate link in an iframe, you can customize the size of the iframe and add other content on the landing page as per your choice for adding page relevance. Basically, you can use it however you want, full frame, small frame, etc.

Besides just allowing you to PROMOTE more affiliate offers using the same landing page, this script also lets you determine, which of the defined Affiliate links, is most suitable for your landing page, since you will know which offer is better, than the other.

This script is a plain PHP script and works on a Linux, UNIX or windows server (as long as you have PHP installed on it).

This Script helped me increase my profits significantly as I could send the users to different affiliate offers without the need to create more campaigns on Google, Yahoo or MSN (or to wait for a site to start getting in organic traffic).

To help you increase your quality score or to get more relevance, the script allows you to determine the title tags of the document for each link that you enter. This is a big plus.

To view an online demo of this script, visit: http://www.raakesh.com/demo/aff_demo.php

Remember, by availing this offer and becoming a member of my site (Raakesh.com), you will get discounts on each and every product that I launch and a lot of freebie scripts, tools and information products. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

If your email is YOU@GMAIL.COM, YOU+blog@GMAIL.COM is a valid email address and can be used by you.

I have been doing this since a long time but surprisingly anyone I have shown this technique has been totally unaware of it, so I thought I will share it with you as well.

Visiting several websites, buying ebooks and physical products, air tickets, etc all these end up opting you in for newsletters, product upgrade and other similar notifications. You can use Gmail to your benefit and enjoy the luxury of automated organizing of your emails along with tracking.

Here is what you need to know:
- We will be using filters on Gmail Settings
- We will be using labels on Gmail Settings
- We will also be using a standard Gmail email address to do the tracking.

Step 1. Understand that you can use any sub-id or term along with your regular Gmail address as long as it is separated from your username using a + (plus sign). Say for example, your email is jondoe@gmail.com, you can add a sub-id to this address like - jondoe+raakesh_blog@gmail.com. Any emails sent to this address will be sent your your regular email address.

So when you sign up for ANY website or list, you will create a dynamic identifiable sub-id to use with your email address. Let’s say you just registered yourself with Affiliate Summit, you will be getting emails from them often to give you updates, details and more. So while registration, use your email address as YOURUSERNAME+affiliate_summit@gmail.com. (Replace YOURUSERNAME, with your actual Gmail username). You can be more innovative and write “affsum” instead of typing the entire word “affiliate_summit” as long as you can keep it unique.

Step 2. Go to your Gmail account, then go to Settings and click on Labels. Click on Create new label and type in Affiliate Summit and hit “Create”. This will create a new label called Affiliate Summit.

Step 3. Click on Filters in the Settings page and click on “Create a New Filter” at the bottom of the filter list. In the TO text box, enter the email address with the sub-id that you used above (yourUSERNAME+affiliate_summit@gmail.com) and hit “Next Step”. On the next page check the box next to “Apply the Label” and hit “Create Filter Now” and you might also want to check the box that says “Apply this filter to the X conversations below” (where x is the number of mails that match this criteria).

You are done, a new label will now be added to your email and you can get to these emails from the label list on the left menu of Gmail.

This helps you organise your mail better and makes things easier for you in the long run.

I am sure you are innovative enough to find this technique so useful and make it work at different levels as per your needs, if you come up with something that you might want to share with the rest of us, just post it as a comment below.

As we move along in our busy schedules, we gather a lot of negative energy in forms of stress, failures, reward-less work, family and friend issues and so much more. A stressful mind makes you less productive and less efficient. Don’t let these feelings affect your work and your life. Here are a few things that help you live a peaceful life, making you more productive and positive.

Tips for Better Life - Fight Stress with positive thinking

1. Go for a walk daily. And smile as you walk. It is the best anti-depressant.

2. Try and spend atleast 10 minutes in silence. I do this before going to bed, sit on a chair, close your eyes and just breathe. Don’t invite any delibrate thoughts, but dont put efforts on not thinking either, just relax.

3. Sleep more, avoid watching TV at night, if you must, auto record the shows and watch next day or on weekends. Sometimes it is fun watching a week worth of a show in one sitting.

4. Complete the following statement when you start your day: ‘My purpose is to __________ today.’

5. Live with Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

6. Play more games and read more books than you did last year.

7. Take out time to meditate and say your prayers. It gives you more energy.

8. Spend some time with people over the age of 65 and under the age of 10. It makes you realize the true meaning of life, happiness and peace.

9. Remember, it is okay to dream during the day.

10. Eat more naturl foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

11. Drink green tea and lot of water. Eat lot of fruits including blueberries, seafood like wild Alaskan salmon, vegetables like broccoli and dry fruits like almonds & walnuts.

12. Try to make at least three people smile every day.

13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.

14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, OR issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the NEGATIVE BLUES away.

18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

22. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.

23. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: ‘In five years, will this matter?’

26. Forgive everyone for everything.

27. What other people think of you is none of your business.

28. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

29. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

30. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.

31. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

32. The best is yet to come.

33. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

34. Do the right thing!

35. Call your family often. (Or email them to death!!!)

36. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.

37. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

38. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
May your troubles be less, May your blessings be more, May nothing but happiness, Come through your door!

If you are someone like me who communicates via email a lot, you would have noticed that it is important that your email reaches the person you want to contact at a specific time.

For example, one of my clients in Wayne, NJ (name withheld), comes to work at 10 and goes through all his emails first and then starts his day. I have been there several times at 10 when he comes and have seen him sending “quick replies” to pretty much everyone who emailed him to acknowledge their emails. I know that if I want to talk to him about something important via email that needs his action like a recommendation, referral or doing a research to get me some data, if I am one of the people who emailed him at 10, I will get a quick reply because he wants to move on to the next person.

So ideally, the best time to reach him is 10.30ish. But by 10:30am, I am already in the middle of my work and in some cases travelling to work or going somewhere from work. So I need an email scheduler that delivers the email when I want the email to be sent.

Similarly for some of your online customers. You are excited to share with them a new product that you want to just launched but you sent them an email on sunday, they will read the email on monday morning while their inbox will be piled up with other emails, so you will either be put on the side, or get a “quick reply” in response. So the timing of emails is very important in most cases. Not to mention, in a situation when you are out travelling or going to a meeting when a client of your’s is waiting for an email from you but you could not send it then because you are on the road.

Services like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc do not have email scheduling available right now. The only feature they have is pre-write an email and save it to your draft, and then send it when you wish. Just a feature saying: send this email at xx/xx/xxxx at xx:xx PM will be a blessing.

Luckily there are several email management services on the web that allow you to schedule bulk emails (for eg, your list of cusomers, clients, site users, subscribers, etc). One of the good ones are Aweber Autoresponder & Email Management Service.

However, if you wish to send an email to one person, or a group of people who are NOT your subscribers, you can not use the above service.

So I am in the process of writing a software that allows you to schedule emails. This service will be free for you to use, however at the moment, you can only schedule emails to be sent to you (as reminders). So if you want to take a sneak peak, go to www.iwebnotifier.com and signup for your free account. Else you can subscribe to my list and I will notify you when the site is ready to use.

In the mean time I hope someone from Google reads this post and makes a suggestion to Google’s Gmail Team to add this as a feature. It will be a great asset to Emailers. However there can be some points of concern like Faking location, or something which can be overcome by adding a line to the email body that “This email was scheduled to be delivered at a future date and time”. So the receiver knows that this email was pre-written and sent at this time. I don’t see any problem with that, atleast we will be able to work better with that.

Will let you know when iWebNotifier is ready for launch. If you are interested in helping me design this tool, feel free to signup for a free account and let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

Due to the nature of my work, I have only seen Internet Marketing as a way to promote Affiliate Products (Affiliate Marketing) and have seen great results all the way.

But I just witnessed a very simple implementation of Internet Marketing to promote an offline business and noticed some very interesting things.

This all happened in my trip to Calgary, Canada. I just came back from Calgary this morning and throughout my trip back, I kept thinking how can I share this experience with you all. Thanks to this blog, now I can share all that’s on my mind in one shot.

During my trip, I visited my friend Garry who just started his dental clinic for his wife, who of course is a dentist. Promoting an offline business like a dental clinic sounds pretty simple but if you don’t do things right, you will end up paying marketing and advertising costs through your nose and still not make enough money to cover these expenses up.

Here is what Garry did to promote his business.

He created a few web sites with different niches like Teeth Whitening Special, Emergency Dental, his dental office site, a site for his wife on her name, a few other landing pages. To get a good quality score he used LPGen, which of course was recommended by me. He setup different accounts with Google AdWords and on each account he created one campaign for each niche and used SpeedPPC to create ad groups for better relevance and targeted audience. Each campaign was setup to show up ONLY in a radius of 20KM from his work. (Not doing so would cost you so much money as you get a wider audience but not much conversions).

Once everything was set, he run his campaigns such that only the Emergency Dental campaign showed up at night hours and weekends, while the rest were only running conservatively to show up on long tail keyword searched not regular broad. This is something that can be debated, but after doing a lot of testing, he realised that keeping broad searches does not really get too many conversions as compared to the click through rate. So he had to slow down his campaigns during these hours.

Additionally, he hired my SEO expert in India to get all his sites optimized for Search Engines to get some organic traffic but guess what? SEO’ing the site also resulted in a better quality score and once I saw these results I said to myself, “Gees, Mark and I have spoken about it so many times, why didn’t we really dig down deep into it and do anything about this”. Anyhow, he also used my new tool “Search Term Extractor”, which I intend to launch in a few months from now. This tool allowed him to pull out the most traffic generating long tail keywords and he added these to his campaigns as exact match and that’s pretty much it. He is busier than ever.

Interestingly, I had suggested him to teach his receptionists how to use a chat software to communicate with their visitors and guess what? It helped them kick up the conversions. The chat software alone did the magic. This happened when Gary was visiting NJ in March and asked me to suggest something to help get his bounce rate down. People would visit his site, and leave within the first 30 seconds. So I suggested he uses a chat software to talk to the visitors while they are online. Since most of the users come from Search Engines (Paid and / or Organic), you are able to see what the users are searching for and hit the iron while it is hot. We researched a few chat softwares overnight and settled for the most practical one out there - cheap and good enough. I am working with this company to let me launch a private label version, if things work out, I will give you access to it. Even if not, I will definitely do a case study of this great tool and let you know.

So a mixture of all the components above gave him the traffic he was looking for and was able to demonstrate a successful way of promoting an offline business, online.

Since he used different Google Accounts to promote different campaigns, he also gets all his sites listed on organic search as well as paid search for same keywords. Which is great as one user hops from one ad to another and finally ends up finding similar information on the sites, resulting in a conversion. So in other words, all his sites are working differently to promote his work and they are. Nonetheless, the emergency campaigns are the best converting and it makes sense because the ones searching for emergency dentists in their area, are in pain and pain here, means need. So his clinic does have to be opened up in the middle of the night to cater to one patient, but by doing that not only does he win the patient once, he gets to keep him / her as their regular dentist said “Sorry, you’re in pain, but I am closed, will see you in the morning at 10AM”.

Since I have assisted Garry from the scratch, upon his approval, I will do a case study on what all he did to become successful in getting the most traffic in that area, and make it available to users who would be interested in learning more on how to promote an Offline Business, Online.

I had written this script a few days back and it has proven very useful for all my affiliate marketing efforts.

You need this script if you are an Affiliate Marketer and want to promote several affiliate products using the same landing page. This script opens up one affiliate link at a time in a full page iframe and rotates the affiliate links alternatively. So if you have three affiliate links to promote, the first user to your landing page will see the first affiliate link, the second user sees the second URL and so on. You can also dynamically change the TITLE tags of your landing page.

With the beginning of the spring this year, I have decided that I will share my knowledge and skills with all the readers of my blog and site. I have been able to put together some articles for you in the Articles Page and will keep adding more and more information as we move along. Whenever I was asked a question at group discussions, one to one interactions or on the phone I made notes of it. I use Google Notebook on the iGoogle page and Interestingly I have received more than 45 questions from other users in the past few days. So now I wish to share each one of them and more that come in, with everyone. I am starting with in the order the questions were asked so feel free to browse through the Article Section and feel free to comment on them and make suggestions.

If you have any question that you feel I can answer, feel free to leave me a comment or email me.

Keep zoomed in for more cool articles coming in.
