Fax to Email Review
Fax to Email is not a new enhancement in the industry, but there are still several businesses and individuals who still use fax machines to receive faxes. Online fax solutions are different than other online services as you require a phone line, and a Fax Number.
I tried a couple new services when they had just started. I remember starting one from efax (or something like that) which Monster.com had recommended when I was looking for my first job. Since then I must have used a few others before finally settling down with Callwave.
I've gotten so used to them that I didn't even realize it was a product I could have reviewed. Just like the T-Mobile G1 phone that I use now, and the Nokia 9500 that I did before. But this product made it to my product review section for another reason - "We all need Fax Numbers" for our business or personal needs. Looking for a home to rent or buy? you need to sign and fax the contract to your realtor, had an accident, well back to the fax machine to get your claims and send your authorizations, etc and so on. For business purposes, sure if you are working for someone, you need to fax your tax documents, if someone works for you, he/she needs to send you their tax info ... It works either way. But at home or work, you also need paper, ink and a physical telephone line besides just the fax machine. In most scenarios you need an independent fax line because one line won't work because when you are not home, you can either set your fax on auto-answer (to receive faxes when you are not around) or set your phone to get voice-mails from people who are calling you.
An independent Callwave Line works great for me. The best part is that when someone sends me a fax, I get it on my email as a PDF attachment, which I can view on my phone, or forward to other people from my phone or computer. Just so convenient. And when I travel to conferences or events, (generally where I need fax access more), I have my line working for me there too. Why be limited to a physical product that doesn't travel with you. In a nutshell, think about the difference of a desktop and a laptop. No matter how powerful, fast, cool, jazzy your desktop is, when you are out of home, you're not happy. Same applies to this "fax to email service".
Another good think I like about Callwave is "their confidence". They just offer you a Risk Free Trial because they know the value of their product is so promising that you will end up using it irrespective. Which is true for me, by the way.
