Blessed with a Daughter - Isha

July 11 2009 (7-11-2009) is one of the most precious day in life, as it is this day when I was blessed with the birth of my daughter Isha.

I always wanted a baby girl and this is nothing less than a wish granted by God.

We are now spending every second we could with her and will continue doing so till the end of time.

We decided to name her Isha and interestingly, it has some serious meaning(s). So here it is:

In Sanskrit, Isha means "Lord, master of all; superior, commanding, reigning."
Isha and its derivative Ishana are very old names for God Siva found in the Rig Veda.

While there are numerous upanishhads (1180 to be exact), 108 of them are considered genuine. Eleven of them namely Isha, kena, Katha, Prashna, Mundaka, Mandukya, Taittiriya, Aitareya, Chandogya, Shvetashvatara, Brihad-AraNyaka, are considered the most significant or "major" upanishhads since they have been commented upon by the major acharyas (teachers) of various traditions.

I will add more information here, but before I stop writing, I want to thank all my well wishers for all your prayers as we definitely needed it during the birth of Isha and we pray with our hands crossed and eyes closed that you get blessed with all you want in life.
